Adult Day Support Programs (ADSPs) are designed for adults over 18 years of age who are physically frail, cognitively impaired or living with a chronic illness. These programs provide a service to both the client aging-in-place and the caregiver responsible for them. For the caregiver it provides a break from the responsibility of care, and for the client it provides an opportunity to leave the home and socialize with peers.
PathWays Adult Day Support™ allows the capture and prioritization of appropriate clients within an active wait list, based on regional placement priorities, so that the maximum number of clients can be provided this important community program at all times. An empty slot in a program — for even a day — robs a client of its benefits and wastes that day’s resource and budget.
Calgary Health has led in the use of PathWays Adult Day Support™ — launching our product within this challenging stream in the fourth quarter of 2007.
