I scanned an article the other day and while it didn’t impact me then, a key word from the headline came back to me. The word? PURSUIT, used in the context that our quest for excellence is the difference between accelerating a culture of achievement versus becoming complacent as an organization. For me, that single word fired a mental image of the phrase “Better is Better than Best”. The day a company stops pursuing excellence is the day the company is guaranteed to miss it.I’ve already intimated to my senior team that PURSUIT will be a big word in my vocabulary in 2012. The word strikes me as incredibly descriptive of the mindset Strata Health needs to continue to accelerate its vision. We need it to be core in our efforts in maintaining both our track record of meaningful innovation and our organization’s commitment to “the World’s patients and frontline care givers”.
Past and current industry surveys have told us that Strata Health clients and their clinical users truly do trust Strata Health to do the right thing in patient flow, and to build technology that makes a real difference in intelligent eReferral for impacted patients. This is great as it tells us that our Brand vision is working, but my issue, of course, is how do we maintain that trust and track record when the pace of change within the Health IT world continues to accelerate?
Well, perhaps by committing in 2012 to:
MY 2012 CEO PLEDGE: To actively support Strata staff in our daily PURSUIT of innovation to deliver a true difference in the day of our clients’ front line clinicians and their patients flow across the care continuum
Yours truly,
